7 DAY RESET MEAL PLAN – get back on track!

Some times we just need a little nutrition reset! So, to help I created a 7 day reset meal plan to get us all back on track with our nutrition and fitness goals. The idea of it came after the Christmas holidays, but it can be followed any time of year.  Read on to learn more about this easy option, how it came about and how it can help you get back to awesome health and wellness…

During the Christmas season, my family and I spent days visiting, opening gifts and eating so much wonderful traditional Guyanese foods (eaten mostly around the holidays).  It was at one of those family dinners that I came up with the idea of creating the 7 Day RESET Meal Plan.  I overheard a conversation my cousin and sister were having about starting the new year off by eating better. They needed to reset their diet, reduce sugar intake, reduce meal sizes and get back into their workouts.  This gave me an idea.

I thought, what if I created a simple whole food, plant based Meal Plan that was easy to follow and contained great recipes all organized over one week?.  It would help RESET our metabolism, contain lots of nutrients and include step by step recipes and a shopping list.  But I wasn’t happy with just recipes.  As I began curating this plan, I also included some recommendations for exercise and positive lifestyle choices that would support us physically and mentally.

After the week you could easily add some good quality animal protein, different grains, legumes or vegetables into those meals. This is a great way to expand your family’s daily meal repertoire!

For many people, making resolutions to eat better and work out more aren’t always easy to do. Most of us are busy and overwhelmed with the responsibilities of life and work to often think about what to eat for meals throughout the week.  It can be time consuming to research recipes that are healthy and good for us.  It can also be expensive to work out at the gym or with a personal trainer.

So here is an easy option…all you have to do is commit to your health and wellness and begin.
