COMMON QUESTIONS

Can I do Pilates in the comfort of my own home?

Absolutely!  Learn Pilates or movement exercises that are perfect for your physical ability, goals or challenges.

  • Do you travel alot?
  • Want to spruce up your gym program?
  • Want to improve your current Pilates mat routine?

We can create a home program for you at the studio or meet for a session virtually.  Give us a call or email to find out more.

Is acupuncture safe?

Acupuncture is a safe technique, regulated within Ontario by the CTCMPO. This board certified professional practice requires over 2000 hours of training that includes safe needle techniques, training in many Chinese medicine modalities that compliment acupuncture and over 500 hours of clinical practicum.

How old do I have to be to do Pilates or get an acupuncture treatment?

Pilates sessions are offered only for those over 18 (some exceptions may apply).  Nutritional consultations are available for all ages and acupressure treatments available for children accompanied by an adult (needles are not used for kids).

Does my insurance cover any of your services?

Most insurance companies offer acupuncture coverage to their employees.  Since we do not deal directly with your insurance company, all fees must be paid upon receiving treatment or consultation and a receipt will be issued for you to submit.

What is the difference between a registered holistic nutritionist and dietician?

A registered holistic nutritionist is professionally trained but may not be covered by OHIP or your insurance company (please check before you call).  R.H.N.’s do not focus on the science of calories or taking vitamins and minerals in isolation.  It is a more holistic approach to health, focusing on whole foods, positive lifestyle choices and living within a clean and chemical free environment.

Do you have online booking?

All of the services at Pilates with Cindy are booked via phone call or in person, there is no online booking service.  This allows Cindy the opportunity to answer any health questions you may have and talk about recommendations that are best for you.  Services are available in person or virtually (Skype/Facetime) or phone call.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy.  For changes to your services before 24 hours please contact the studio or your therapist.
